AY LIVE COMEDY SHOW

I guess it was fun to have the massive crowd that graced the maiden edition of my show tagged "AY LIVE" at the Muson Centre on March 18, 2007. AY LIVE was actually designed to put the very little me under the spolight for my teaming fans to experience and savour the beauty of my creative presence as a total entertainment personality.

About Me

ayo makun: Ayo Makun is a seasoned comedian, compere, promoter/Event Manager. He worked with Ali Baba (The king of comedy) as a personal Assistant and later became his Event Manager in 2005. AY went on to gain experience from Alibaba’s Comedy Club and cut his teeth in the comedy circle through Opa William’s Nite of A Thousand Laughs and Made In Warri respectively. He gained fame and became popular in Nigeria through his artistic delivery where he was known for his impersonations of celebrities like Pastor Chris Okotie, Pete Edochie, Jim Iyke etc AY became a national phenomenon through his regular comic act on NTA‘s A.M. Express every Sunday morning and later got a deal as the presenter of Table Humour Segment on Star FM 101.5 Launch Hour Show in 2005. On September 9, 2006 he introduced and started hosting his own Monthly comedy club known as Open Mic Night at The Vault. AY went ahead to receive three National Comedy Award nominations as STANDUP COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR, BEST COMEDIAN RADIO AND BEST UPCOMING COMEDIAN for 2006. He later won the National Comedy Award for THE BEST UPCOMING COMEDIAN.
